PlayExch Mobile – Play on Android and iPhone

Most of our players use PlayExch mobile rather than a laptop, and most of them bet while the match is on TV or streaming next to them. A phone is a perfectly good tool for that, but a small screen and a patchy 4G signal cause mistakes that rarely happen on a desktop: tapping the wrong column, a stake button that adds a zero, or a bet placed twice after the page froze. This page is about avoiding those mistakes. It assumes you already have an ID and have the site on your home screen. If not, start with the app and home-screen setup page first.

Reading the Back and Lay Prices on a Small Screen

On a desktop, each runner shows three back prices and three lay prices side by side. On a phone, the layout is squeezed, and in portrait you often see only the best price on each side. Here is what to look for on each row:

• Back is on the left, lay is on the right. Back cells are usually blue and lay cells pink. The two prices nearest the middle are the best ones currently available.
• The small number under each price is the money waiting at that price. If you want to back ₹2,000 and only ₹600 is shown, part of your bet may match at that price and the rest may sit unmatched.
• Tapping a price opens the bet slip with that price filled in. It is a starting point, not a promise. If the market moves before you confirm, check the price in the slip again rather than the one you remember tapping.
• Check the market name at the top. Match Odds, Bookmaker and the Fancy lines can sit one scroll apart. On a small screen it is easy to tap a Bookmaker rate thinking it is Match Odds.

If the numbers feel cramped, use your phone's display size setting (Settings → Display → Font size or Screen zoom) rather than pinch-zooming. Pinch-zoom shifts the layout every time the page refreshes, and that is exactly when wrong taps happen. Set Your One-Tap Stake Buttons Before the Match Starts

The bet slip has quick-stake buttons so you can pick an amount with one tap instead of typing. They save time during an over, but they are also the easiest way to bet more than you meant to. Spend two minutes on them before the first ball:

1. Open the stake settings from your account menu and replace the default amounts with ones that match your own budget. If you normally bet ₹200, there is no reason to have a ₹10,000 button one thumb-width away.
2. Test how the buttons behave. On some layouts a second tap replaces the amount; on others it adds to it. Tap two buttons in a row on an empty slip and read the total before you rely on them in a live over.
3. Remember that lay stakes are not your risk. A ₹5,000 preset tapped on a lay at 4.0 puts ₹15,000 at risk, because your liability is stake × (odds − 1). Always read the liability line in the slip before confirming a lay.
4. Turn off any “confirm without slip” option if your layout has one. On a phone, one extra confirmation step is worth the second it costs.

Portrait or Landscape?

Neither is better in every case. Many players switch depending on what they are doing:

Whichever you choose, lock the rotation. A screen that flips in the middle of a tap because you shifted on the sofa is one of the most common causes of a bet on the wrong runner.

Battery and Data Through a Long Test Match

A T20 is over in about three and a half hours. A Test can run for five days of six or seven hours each. Keeping a live market open on your phone for that long drains the battery and uses data steadily. A few habits help:

• Close the market between sessions. Lunch, tea and rain breaks are long. Closing the tab saves battery, and you will reload fresh prices when you return.
• Use Wi-Fi at home. Constant market updates on mobile data add up over a full day. Check Settings → Data usage after one day's play to see your own figure.
• Do not stream video and keep markets open on the same weak connection. The stream wins the bandwidth, and your prices fall behind without you noticing.
• Watch out for battery saver. Low-power modes can slow down background refreshes. If the prices have not moved for a suspiciously long time while the score has, reload the page.
• Lower the screen brightness and keep a charger or power bank nearby for a full day of play. The screen uses more battery than the page does.

Making PlayExch Run Well on a Low-End Android Phone

The site is light, but a phone with limited memory can still struggle when many things run at once. These steps make the biggest difference, roughly in order:

1. Restart the phone before a big match. It clears memory that background apps have been holding onto.
2. Keep one browser tab open. Every extra tab uses memory, and Chrome may reload your market tab from scratch when you switch back.
3. Update Chrome and Android System WebView from the Play Store. Old versions render live pages more slowly.
4. Free up storage. A phone with almost no free space slows down across the board. Clear old WhatsApp media first, as it is usually the largest.
5. Make sure Desktop site is off in the Chrome menu. The desktop layout is heavier and harder to tap on a small screen.
6. Avoid the live casino on the same session if the phone is already struggling. Video tables need far more power than cricket markets.

Using Two Devices at the Same Time

Some players keep the scorecard or stream on a laptop or tablet and the markets on their phone, or the other way round. That works with one PlayExch ID, with a few cautions:

• Place bets from one device only. If both screens show the bet slip, it is easy to place the same bet on each. Use the second screen for watching, not betting.
• Refresh before acting on the other screen. A bet placed on your phone will show on the laptop only after its page updates.
• Your ID is for you alone. Two devices are fine; two people sharing one ID is not, and it makes any dispute about a bet impossible to sort out.
• Log out on shared devices. If the laptop belongs to a friend or an office, log out when you finish, and do not let the browser save your password there.

If one device suddenly logs you out, log back in and check My Bets. If it keeps happening, message PlayExch support with a screenshot. And if you think someone else knows your password, ask us to reset it right away. The login troubleshooting page covers the other common sign-in errors.
